The theme this year is "Voyages of Discovery" which sounds like a fun theme. I actually was in the winners of this competition a few years back and my entry is currently on display in a little exhibition of my comics work in the Nan Tait centre in Barrow for those of you interested and in Cumbria! Shout me up if you want any advice on making black and white comics to print specifications. I'm happy to help!

In other Cumbrian comics news, I've been talking with the guys running the Lakes International Comics Art Festival. It'll be in Kendal this October. I'll have some work featured at that, be selling some of my stuff, and also helping out in other ways! Kendal is a lovely town and I hope a bunch of you all come up to that! We can hang out and mingle or whatever! <3

Meanwhile, I'm happy to announce the Vacant Sky creative contest!  Yes, it's not just a drawing contest! You can enter art, fiction, animation, costumes, music...anything you like related to either the game we're currently making, Vacant Sky Awakening, or the existing (free to download and play) game, Vacant Sky: Contention. Prizes include the soundtracks to Contention and Awakening, a free copy of the game, and...my personal favourite, a chance to design an NPC to appear in Vacant Sky Awakening!
I'll also be looking carefully at the entries, and will probably feature ones I think stand out, even if they don't win a prize.

So you remember the Kickstarter I did last year? We did pretty well but didn't quite make the target. But we're back! We've accumulated over $3000 in under 24 hours, so I'm feeling pretty optimistic right now. That doesn't mean that we couldn't use more pledges and signal boosting, however! We'd appreciate any help you can give to help make our game happen!
I'm in charge of character art in-game this time rather than just character design, and there's a bunch of my work on that Kickstarter to see. Plus high resolution versions of the character art on: (more coming soon, so follow that page if you want to keep up with Vacant Sky and other Project BC games and stuff).

I believe we're planning on some kind of contest soon to celebrate the new launch. I'll keep you posted when that happens!

In other news, I'm supposed to be going down to London to meet with Sony people later this month. Aaaaaaagh! I know, crazy, right? It looks like 2013's going to be pretty interesting! I hope yours will be too!

Hello! More game stuff for you! We made a full, polished version of Encarmine! It's available now. The old Ludum Dare version is still free to play, but this updated version features more plot, more graphics and more gameplay. I worked pretty hard singlehandedly doing all the graphics for this game, so people sharing the news and maybe buying a copy would be appreciated! There will be an Android version out fairly soon, but we're taking a week off from it because making a game is a lot of work!

Hey guys. Recently I made some Games you can play! Well, not just me, I was working with and among others!

First off, the big one! Vacant Sky: Contention- Complete Edition! Act 1 is now up and ready to play! (Windows only, sorry!). We'll be releasing Act 2 and 3 hopefully pretty soon after this. Also last weekend, I participated in Ludum Dare and made a Visual Novel in 72 hours! Whew! It was a lot of work but we did it! You can play that for free as well (on Windows, Mac and Linux). We'll be making a bigger, more finished version of this game later with Maurus' story path, extra gameplay and art, some tidying up to the existing story and artwork and an Android port, but for now, the 'we made this in three days aaaagh' version of the name, Encarmine, is up here:
