If you're not at least reasonably up to date on the manga, or if you don't read the manga of Naruto, only watch the anime, this pic is kind of a spoiler...
I have exams, so a comic is just a little too heavy for me right now. However, I did feel like a little 'drawing therapy'. Drawing really relaxes me, I tend to zone out when I draw and not notice things like how much time has passed or if the phone is ringing downstairs! It's kind of like meditation I guess, your mind totally focuses on your hand and the paper.
Aaanyway... It's another picture of Haruno Sakura! Shannaro-! I hope you're all up-to-date on reading the manga scanslations. For me it's one of the highlights of the week 'All right! New Naruto!' The new, older Sakura is just...SO...AWESOME! Not only is her new costume really cool looking, and her hair looks much nicer like that, but she's actually a decent ninja now! Well, of course, you know I'd like her because of my obsession with cool heroines. There weren't many things with cool female characters in when I was a kid, I used to love the show 'Maid Marion and Her Merry Men' (I dunno if it ever showed outside Britain, but it was very, very funny and had Tony Robinson (Baldrick from Blackadder) as the Sheriff of Nottingham) and I dressed up as Marion from it at a carnival...I guess you could say it was my first cosplay! Yeah, you can see why I wanted to make a comic about a group of girls who are really cool and strong like FanDanGo...
I've only read volumes 1 and 2 of the first Naruto series.. but I know who Sakura is. I saw a pic of Naruto, Sakura, and that other one... forgot his name. Btu anyway, I saw a pic of them when they were older and I thought it was just fanart. That's pretty cool. I should probably get more into that series...
Anyway, it's a good pic. I understand what you mean by the whole meditation thing. When I'm in history class, I whip out a piece of paper and pencil.. and I start to doodle. It helps me concentrate on what the teacher is saying, too.
It's worth a read, it can be a bit repetetive at times, as it's a shounen action manga, but the artwork and how many interesting and different characters there are makes it really good. You can get scanslations from [link] if you sign up (you won't have to pay to sign up and you won't get spam or anything so it's worth doing). The anime tends to drag more than the manga, but the fights look pretty amazing and the music is great!
