This chapter cover took a lot of work. But it was a lot of fun. As is usual for the covers in this comic, it alludes vaguely to the events of the next chapter. I love hiding these little symbolic or metaphorical touches in the covers. Of course, it's not completely pretentious symbolism, they're in evening wear because it looks cool. Haha.
If you've just stumbled on this randomly, it's from my webcomic. You can read it at: [link]
It definitely has an almost musical vibe. It took me half a sec to remember those were swords, not guitars and drums.
And the upright bass. WHY was Rekki's sword an upright bass in my head?! Sometimes, my imagination makes me feel too crazy. Oddly, I found it more "off" that Subo was in lead guitarist/vocalist position... but then Juliet was all lounge singery on the floor. The classical upright bass made a lot more sense.
ANYWAY. Enough babbling, on to the work itself. I rather like the lay out of the characters... As noted with my "WTF?! Lead and louge singers?!" thought process, no one really outshines anyone else and the balance is odd, for me, but nice.
Can't wait for the actual chapter. Rekki looks good in a two-piece suit, though for some reason, it feels like she stepped off the cover of Sgt. Peppers'. The mandarin-style surcoat also looks nice; fits my asian-fashion-loving sensibilities. I actually have one of my own like that, but tailored for a man and with the exact opposite color scheme, lol. (Oh, and I don't mean to advertise, but I updated on drunkduck, just in case you hadn't seen it. Nobody was expecting it, so nobody's said anything!)

Actually my first thought when I'd finished was; "This looks like an album cover." Hahahaha. I don't know who'd play what in the FDG band, but I suspect Rekki would be on lead guitar with a shiny red stratocaster hahahaha.

The first thing I thought was "Album cover?"
